Eagleville Lot 1

behind the design

The key to any design, or really anything at all, is finding the initial inspiration. For this house, I chose to start with the kitchen because it’s the heart of the home. In every sense of the word.

Therefore, it was to be the showpiece of the home, the magnum opus.

So, of course, I searched the web for anything that might strike my fancy. I came across a picture of a gorgeous two-toned kitchen that immediately caught my eye. It was perfect. That’s when I decided to do white shaker cabinets with a dark gray island for this home, and the neutral colors will match with nearly anything the homeowners decide to display as décor. To finish off the kitchen, I added white quartz countertops with grey veining and natural-stained wide-plank wood floors that marry everything together.

Throughout the rest of the home, I continued the industrial farmhouse style. You’ll find unique touches of it in the bathrooms, bedrooms, dining room, and even the laundry room. We were also lucky to have the talented Craig Stevens build a gorgeous custom vanity for the master bath. Really. It looks just…well, utterly chic with its clean lines and dark countertops. And check out all that storage space!

With everything in place, this project has come together quite beautifully. Matthew and I are absolutely thrilled we were able to help this family find their forever home.
